Ponsolo // Interested Me So

PONSOLO was born underneath a high-five in an underground after-party somewhere in Montreal. He’s been working hard the past couple years to assert himself a humble spot in Montreal’s tight-knit nightlife. Last year at Piknic Electronik marked an important start and was a catalyst for his already budding DJ career opening for Jimmy Edgar & Heidi on the main stage. For many this summertime set was an eye opener to his high-energy house & techno sets. A few months later he managed to solidify his brand by landing a residency with Montreal’s heavy hitter promotional company I Love Neon at the famous after-hours’, Stereo, sister club Stereobar for their weekly party “Controle”. He recently tore it up and made a lasting impression on fans and staff alike at the world famous winter music festival Igloofest alongside Label manager at Turbo Records, LEDISKO.

Interested Me So highlights the warmer, house(y) side to his production. The soul of the track crafted by sampling the vocals from Sun Ra’s “Door of the Cosmos”. This is his first music video, produced entirely by himself and The Strathcona Agency. The video was shot in four separate days and edited by The Strathcona Agencies Elliott MacDonald.

The video follows Ponsolo on a winter day in Montreal, with a dreamy twist that tips his hat to the city’s vibrant culture teeming with creativity even in the coldest temperatures. If you know Ponsolo his dance moves in the video won’t come as a surprise, the special effects and choreography reflect his personality and DJ sets.

The video strives to portray the contrast between the grey often depressing winters and the lively and animated nightlife. No matter how cold the winter gets you’ll see Ponsolo heating up the dance floor in an amazing bar, club or after-hours.
