If you are unfamiliar with Nils Frahm he is a german born classically trained pianist who’s teacher was a student of the last scholar of Tschaikowski. He has taken his classical training and merged it with familiar electronic synthesizers to create a wall of digital sounds with a classical texture. Watching a live performance is like watching a mad scientist building frankenstein with a setup of classic organs, synthesizers and computers. It’s pretty intense and beautiful stuff. His newest release titled “Spaces” could be interpreted as being in a giant space. Space maybe. Gather yourself for what should be a pretty cool journey. Shit’s real.
